Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is “devotion” to the person of Jesus Christ symbolized by His Heart as the Lord who loves us. Jesus desire and asked for devotion to His Sacred Heart and that we return love for love. The Catholic Church approved and recommended the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
In the 1673-1675 culmination of the apparitions of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary of Alacoque, a humble French Nun of the order of the visitation of our Lady, Jesus showing His Sacred Heart to her said, “Behold the Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify its love, and in return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrilege and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in this Sacrament of Love. But what I feel most keenly is that it is the hearts which consecrated to Me, that treat Me thus … “

Brief History of our Origin at St. Leo Parish
Dating back to the 1960s we existed as Wednesday Prayer Group. Later it evolved as Glory & Praise Prayer Group engulfing several devotions. Today, as the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary Prayer Group, we are exclusively focused on devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary since July 9th, 2014. We are finally Home.
